2020 International Copper Industry Summit

Richard XU is the Regional Director of Asia for the International Copper Association (ICA). ICA is the leading advocate of the world copper industry. As a non-profit trade association, ICA brings together the copper industry, and its partners, to make a positive contribution to the UN Sustainable Development Goals, and to support markets for copper.

Joined ICA in 2003, Mr. Xu, together with his team, has developed effective strategic planning and management systems, which defend and grow copper applications in a variety of end-use markets in Asia. With his insight and guidance, ICA’s initiative structure and program coverage are set up and adjusted according to market trends and industry challenges.

Mr. Xu received a Bachelor Degree in Finance from Cornell University in New York after studying biochemistry for two years at Peking Union Medical College in Beijing, China.

周胜先生自2008年起担任国际铜业协会中国区总裁，负责整个区域的运营及市场推广，包括市场战略计划的制定，政府关系、会员、铜工业及下游企业关系的维系，合作伙伴关系或战略联盟的建立与维护，及其它国际合作项目的申请与管理。

自1997年以来，周胜先生作为专家参与中国政府多项能源政策和能源标准的制定。周胜先生在担任国际铜业协会能源与电力项目的全球项目总监时也曾负责管理全球能源项目。此外，周胜还担任“2007年第五届全球电机系统能效论坛” (EEMODS’07)联合主席。执行的众多成功项目包括联合国（发展署项目）、欧盟和中国政府项目。

Joe Zhou has joined ICA for 5 years and he is the program manager for Market Analysis and Outreach at ICA Asia. He has demonstrated abundant skills in market analysis during this period.
